Hunting Conditions and Terms of Business

These terms and conditions outline the agreement between Hunter’s Trail and our clients. They are designed to ensure transparency and protect both the outfitter and the client from misunderstandings. Please take a moment to review them before confirming your booking.

Deposit and Payment

A 50% deposit of the daily rates is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining balance is due at the end of your safari.

Deposits can be paid via bank transfer or secure online payment link.

Final payment in South Africa can be made in Visa or Mastercard.

Cancellations and Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable, except where written cancellation is received at least 120 days prior to the start of your safari.

In such cases, the deposit will be refunded less a 50% administrative fee.

Safaris may be rescheduled within the same calendar year, subject to availability.

No refunds will be given for late arrivals or early departures.

Days of Arrival and Departure

We do not charge daily rates for your arrival and departure days.

We understand that long travel can be exhausting, and we encourage guests to use this time to rest and settle in.

Should you choose to hunt on your day of arrival or departure, 50% of the daily rate will apply.

Liability and Insurance

While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure your safety and comfort, Hunter’s Trail and its associated outfitters accept no liability for any loss, injury, accident, illness, disability, or death before, during, or after the safari.

Clients are strongly advised to obtain travel insurance, including medical evacuation, baggage, and trip cancellation cover, before travelling.

All guests will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to the commencement of any safari.

Hunter’s Trail, its staff, agents, and associated service providers cannot be held responsible for any claims, loss, or damage that may arise during the course of a safari or any associated travel or arrangements.

Recommendations made by Hunter’s Trail for accommodation, flights, or third-party services are made in good faith.

General Terms

Trophy fees apply to all animals successfully hunted or wounded and lost.

All payments made in South Africa must be in cash, Visa, or Mastercard.

A standard safari consists of a minimum stay of seven (7) days.

Hunting is only permitted when accompanied by a licensed Professional Hunter (PH).

Hunter’s Trail reserves the right to amend prices or terms without prior notice.

Ethics and Conservation

Hunter’s Trail supports ethical and sustainable hunting practices that contribute to conservation and community development. We work exclusively with vetted outfitters who share these values and who uphold the highest standards of professionalism and respect for wildlife.
